100% from the sale of signed limited edition prints from Tessa's paintings will go to Possible Dreams International, Dr Maithri Goonetilleke and his medical team in Swaziland who work so unflinchingly hard to improve the lives of thousands of HIV/AIDS orphans in that tiny mountain kingdom in Africa. In just over a year PDI has 10 orphan families on the mealie and eggs project (they will be supported every year), built 5 houses for families, completed the water project for the community of Mambane which will give 3,000 people clean water; given literally hundreds and hundreds of people emergency medical care, food, school fees for orphans and basic neccesities of daily living for those in dire and desperate need.
Dr. Maithri is the co-founder of Possible Dreams International (http://possibledreamsinternational.org) which has been set up to empower communities in areas of deep and immediate need throughout the world. Through the organisation and financing of community based projects and the raising of awareness regarding issues such as endemic disease, poverty and malnutrition Possible Dreams International aims to bring tangible hope into the lives of those for whom the flame of hope seems to flicker on the brink of extinction.
